Techie-Brekkie is our monthly social meeting – usually held on the first Saturday of the month; with a few exceptions. For October we chose a new venue at O’Briens Tea Rooms in Ormskirk.
Meeting at 09:30, seven of us sat down and enjoyed a really tasty helping of freshly prepared food. There are plenty of different choices on the menu, folk with special dietary requirements being well catered for.
Good food, good prices, good company
Prices are quite reasonable, especially considering what you get (both in quantity and quality). And, if you hanker after the good-old-days for door-stop toast, and lashings of real butter, this is most definitely the place for you.
Furthermore, if you’re a tea aficionado, then this is the only place I know for miles around that serves Lapsang Souchong.
Come along to the next Techie-Brekkie
A firm ‘Yes!’ from those that attended the October event, so we’ll be meeting again on November 4th at 09:30. Please let us know you’re coming so that we can book a big enough table – it does get a bit busy on a Saturday morning with it being Market Day in Ormskirk.
You’ll be sure of a great welcome and there’s no need to be a member of the Quantum Technology Club to come along.

O’Briens is on Park Road, in Ormskirk, opposite the ‘big’ Morrisons store.
