Telescope and stars

On the 19th February the Quantum Technology Club will be holding a Telescope and the Stars Field Night. It will be held on the public field adjacent to Aughton Village Hall starting at 7:30pm. Bring along your own telescope and find out what you can observe using it, or just come along and see the majesty of the heavens. Everyone is welcome, there’s no need to be a member of the club.

The plan is to stay out as long as possible, and then retire to our normal meeting place, the WI Hut around the corner on Town Green Lane. There, there will be free hot refreshments for you to enjoy and have a chat about what you’ve seen.

As always, outdoor events are always subject to favourable weather conditions. At the time of writing the forecast is for clear skies, no precipitation (rain, snow, etc.) and 2 degrees Centigrade temperatures. Do layer up and make sure you wear good footwear as the field will be wet and slippery in places.

If the weather conditions fail us, then we’ll be meeting at the WI Hut on Town Green Lane. Here we’ll have a look at the telescopes that have been brought along and have a chat of what we might have seen. There will be free refreshments available throughout the evening.

There is no need to be a member to join us for the evening and no subs will be payable as this is an open evening – donations are welcome though. 🙂
