EMF Camp 2024 dates have been released – 30th May to 2nd June.
EMF Camp is an amazing technical and maker experience and everyone with a passion for either should go at least once. Several members of the Quantum Technology Club have attended in the past and can attest to how good it is.
A non-profit camping festival held at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, just east of Ledbury, Herefordshire, EMF Camp 2024 will through open its doors at mid-day on the Thursday and conclude late on the Sunday evening. Campers (hackers, artists, geeks, crafters, scientists, engineers and their families) will enjoy a long weekend of talks, performances, and workshops on everything from blacksmithing to biometrics, chiptunes to computer security, high altitude ballooning to lockpicking, origami to democracy, and online privacy to knitting.

The temporary town of nearly three thousand like-minded people will be provided with fast internet, power to the tent, good beer, and amazing installations, by the organisers who are all volunteers and pay for their ticket just like the rest of the campers. In the past, there’s also been a free conference badge for everyone, but they are no ordinary badge. These are full-blown microcontrollers that are fully programmable to do whatever you want – there is normally an on-site competition to see what uses people can come up with for them.
EMF Camp 2024 will be buzzing all day and well into the evening with geeks, crafters, and technology enthusiasts learning, sharing and generally sharing what they love.
Talks and workshops will start on the Friday and carry through until the Sunday evening. You can usually stay until midday on Monday, enabling you to enjoy the festivities on Sunday night.
EMF has been very family-friendly. Sponsors of the event have been arranging and providing free childcare, run by fully approved professionals, since the 2016 EMF Camp.
