For the last couple of years we have run Techie-Brekkie, or the Quantum Breakfast Club as it started out, on the first Saturday of the month. It’s an opportunity for us to get together as a group of friends, along with wives and partners, and discuss whatever – technical or not. Everyone is welcome and there’s no need to be a member of the Quantum Technology Club to come along.
Unfortunately we lost our original venue earlier in the year and since then meetings have been a bit sporadic. However, we’re back and Techi-Brekkie will resume in October (see note below).
We’ve found a new venue that is happy to accommodate us, the food is really good and it doesn’t cost a fortune. Ali and I tried it out with the kids last Saturday and were all most satisfied with the experience.
So, with the odd exception (please refer to the calendar for exact dates), put the first Saturday (09:30) of the month in your calendar and pop on down to O’Briens Tea Rooms in Ormskirk. It’s on Park Road (ring road) on the opposite Morrisons.
Note about October Techie-Brekkie
As it happens, the first Saturday in October (7th October) clashes with our Fun Palace event at Ormskirk Library. So Techie-Brekkie will be on the 14th October.
