Clive is a shack mascot knitted by Alison Hughes and arrived at Radioworld amateur radio store in Walsall in 2023. Since then he’s regularly moved around the store and regular customers have played “Where’s Clive” when they visit. Clive carries a rucksack, emblazoned with his callsign, complete with radio, microphone and antenna.

Clive’s proved so successful that a companion turned up called Emma. She’s not really into amateur radio and her rucksack, proudly displaying her name, contains ham and cheese sandwiches, a packet of crisps and a cherry Bakewell to keep them nourished as they journey around their world.
In December 2024, Clive and Emma were joined by their new offspring which is carried in a papoose by Emma.
Today, Alison delivered the latest member of the family, a Scottish Deerhound. The dog will join Emma and Clive on their travels near and far. The staff at Radioworld were excited to see and receive the new addition and have promised to look after it.
