Members of the Quantum Technology Club ran a technojam at Ormskirk Library on Saturday, 26th November, to celebrate Lancashire Day.
Technojams are event organised by the club that enable members of the public to get hands on with technology and ‘have a go’. At this event activities included3D printing, operating an amateur radio station, and relaying a message in Morse Code.
The club has a special relationship with the library and runs activities there several times a year, including at the Ormskirk Fun Palace event in Ormskirk.
The event raised lots of interest and the amateur radio special event station, using the callsign GB5LD, made lots of contacts to promote Lancashire and transmitted the Lancashire Day Proclamation at 15:00 to radio amateurs throughout Lancashire.
